Light, fast and good battery life. I bought this laptop for my wife, it is excellent despite being a off brand (MSI is known for motherboards). It looks good and the specs are excellent. She gets 5+ hours off one charge. I’m really impressed with the Fusion E350 APU, great performance for low power and cost. You can get cheaper E350 based laptops, but they are larger and have less RAM and HD.

Hello all,
I have owned my X-370 for five days now and really like the device. It is powerful enough to run my Virtual Machine (VM) for work and all the necessary programs within that I need (Running Word, Excel, Gimp image editor, Adobe Acrobat and Chrome with multiple tabs simultaneously), with a great battery life. Although, today I had my VM crash/hang several times, the S-Bar (MSI’s program to control [Fn] button functions) not respond at times and crashes consistently when attempting to adjust the brightness (mind you the brightness would not change during the instances) and as I am writing this on my desktop with the netbook next to me idling, I can hear what sounds like the murmurs of a hard disk failure. On arrival day, I had noticed the rear left corner of the black keyboard border by the [esc] key was not flush with the chrome like it is on the opposite side next to the power button, it looks slightly raised and popped out. At first I figured it was a small superficial defect, as if the plastic didn’t seal correctly, but now with the symptoms of hard drive failure, I wonder if it was dropped.
Again I like the device. After reading other reviews here and on other sites, I am suspecting a damaged unit. Can anyone confirm similar problems with the S-Bar program? How loud are other X-370 hard drives when sitting idle?

Really great looking machine in the perfect size. Pretty good screen for a budget laptop and seems to hit the perfect performance balance for what I’m looking for. Doesn’t come preloaded with a ton of junk software either.
As a power user, I wouldn’t want this little guy as my only computer, but it seems like its going to work out great for me as a portable machine to watch movies, do some light work/office applications and browsing the web without feeling the netbook performance crunch (but still giving me great battery life). I really think AMD hit the nail on the head for the perfect performance balance on their E-350 chip.
My cons… The trackpad buttons are a little weird, still trying to get used to it. It’s also priced slightly more expensive than I think it should be when taking into account the HPDM1Z. This should be priced below $550.
